History of Indialantic Mobil
The station was built in 1957 during the early days of the space race. Originally there were only 2 bays and no convenience store. In 1988, Bob and Vicki Kemp bought the franchise, then known as "Indialantic Gulf". In 1990, Indialantic Gulf got a name switch and became Indialantic Mobil. Since then, 3 bays and a convenience store have been added, and employees doubled from 5 to 10. In 2005, the station was remodeled with new pumps and a new canopy.
Indialantic Mobil is owned by Bob and Vicki Kemp, long time members of the Indialantic community. They moved to Indialantic in 1969 and soon Vicki became active as a volunteer in the school system. In addition to being Chief of the YMCA Indian Guides in the 1970s, Bob also served as a founding member of Brevard County Youth Soccer and served as Commissioner of the league. He helped make the Indialantic Elementary and Hoover soccer fields what they are today.

Bob manages the station and holds an undergraduate degree from Clemson University and an MBA from Florida Tech. He also worked for 26 years in marketing and sales at Harris Corp.
